Information you choose to use in a tool

The About page explains the tools and the purpose of this independent website.

Black Screen does not require an account. Text entered into a QR code, custom meeting name or color field is used to create the requested result in your browser. The site does not intentionally send that tool content to Black Screen servers.

Your light or dark appearance choice is saved in local storage on your device. Without a saved choice, the site uses Light Mode. Some meeting tools save names and settings in local storage on your device. The Black Screen color tool may save recent colors in the same way. A meeting tool’s reset restores its defaults; some default preferences may be saved again. Recent colors have no separate clear control. To remove all saved tool information, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

Camera and microphone access

Tools with a camera preview ask for browser permission before starting. The preview stays on your device and is not recorded or uploaded by Black Screen. Current camera tools request video only. Simulated microphone buttons change the on-screen state and do not transmit audio.

Technical information from your visit

The hosting provider may process standard request information such as an IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, referring page, date and time. This information is needed to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and investigate technical failures. Retention is limited by the hosting provider's settings and operational needs.

The site currently loads the Archivo font from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to retrieve that file, which can disclose technical request information such as your IP address and user agent to Google.

Google Analytics and advertising

The public black-screen.dev website offers optional Google Analytics using measurement ID G-J0RJZ9TZ9P. The Google tag is not loaded until you choose “Allow analytics”. After consent, Google may receive the page address, referring page, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and engagement events used to measure site usage. Declining analytics does not limit the tools.

Google AdSense and personalized advertising are not enabled. If advertising is enabled later, this policy and the required consent controls must be updated first. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Consent choices

The analytics choice is stored locally as black-screen-analytics-consent. Choosing Allow analytics loads Google Analytics; choosing Decline keeps it off. Clearing this site's data removes the saved choice and the site will ask again on a later visit.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking some storage may reset saved tool preferences, but the main display tools should continue to work. Advertising remains disabled and would require a separate review of applicable consent requirements before use.

Legal reasons, sharing and retention

Information may be processed to operate the site, protect security, comply with law, respond to a valid request or support advertising after the required choice has been collected. Service providers receive only the information needed for the service they perform. Black Screen does not sell information that directly identifies you.

Technical records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, legal duties and service operation. Browser storage remains on your device until you or the tool removes it.

Children and sensitive information

The site is a general audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. Do not enter private, confidential or sensitive information into a tool or email unless it is necessary for a request.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information. Email contact@black-screen.dev with the subject “Privacy request”. Black Screen may ask for limited information needed to verify and complete the request.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated when the site's data practices or service providers change. The updated date at the top shows the latest published version.
